Doctor, Doctor - 2023 - Second Opinion [mini-review]

US band Doctor, Doctor are out with the mini-album "Second Opinion", and progressive rock is where I'd file this album as far as style and orientation is concerned. This is a guitar dominated band that explore the hard progressive rock tradition. While the opening cut gives us an expressive journey through a bass guitar motif driven interface, the band switch over to channelling mid 70's Rush on the second track. The third cut on this production have theatrical lead vocals in the lead and backed by a suitable blend of heavy set guitars and elegant but also theatrical keyboard layers. With a gentle acoustic affair then concluding this fairly diverse journey through a multifaceted hard progressive rock landscape. A production to seek out by those fond of hard progressive rock explored in a few different manners and mannerisms.

Highproject - 2022 - Beyond the Veil, People Stand Silent. Trusted and in Their Prime
