Soniq Circus - 2023 - Chapter 2. The Accident [mini-review]

Swedish band Soniq Circus are out with the album "Chapter 2. The Accident", and progressive rock is the style explored on this production. It is a classic case of hard progressive rock we get on this production, with big guitar riffs leading the way and several instances of the guitars combining with either the organ or with vintage sounding keyboards to create majestic and powerful surges. Gentler interludes is a part of the experience too, and we get a liberal array of more expressive keyboard solo runs and some orchestral style effects that adds a little bit of a symphonic progressive rock touch to the proceedings too. If a more classic and retro-oriented variety of hard progressive rock seasoned with symphonic progressive rock style overlays is music that you find interesting in general, chances are good that you'll find this album to be quite the enjoyable affair.

Highproject - 2022 - Beyond the Veil, People Stand Silent. Trusted and in Their Prime
